About Me
Hi class! This is my last semester at FSU. I can't wait to graduate! I received my BA in History from FSU in 2005 (I was commuting then) with the knowledge that I did not want to become a teacher, so I took a year off to work in my public library to see if I wanted to be a librarian. I immediately fell in love with my job. I work full-time at the Suwannee River Regional Library Headquarters in Live Oak, FL, about two hours east of Tallahassee. I am technically in circulation, but I also do reference, ILL, cataloging, displays, and whatever else needs to be done. I really enjoy working with the public and hope to keep doing so. I started work on my MLIS in Fall of 2006.
Family Life
I am married to a great guy (Adam) and have a cute eight-year-old daughter (Adrienne). Adam hopes to be an engineer one day and Adrienne wants to be a librarian (wonder where she gets that idea from) and a zookeeper. She is far too ambitious!
I live on a farm with all sorts of animals, including Nigerian Dwarf milk goats. Gotalund Farms is always an adventure.
Fun Stuff
When I’m not working, doing schoolwork, raising my family, or helping with the farm, I enjoy reading (romance and suspense), swimming, traveling, and watching movies. I don’t really have a lot of spare time to do any of my extracurricular activities at the moment, but maybe one day!
