Hello everyone! I am currently living in Jacksonville, FL with my husband Neil and our 3 1/2 year old son Brady. I am in my 3rd semester at FSU in the School Media program through the College of Information. I do not work in a library setting yet, but I am continuing to pursue this avenue on a daily basis. I currently work as the Statistical Coordinator for a company called Suddath. In my spare time, I try to get as much time with my family as possible. My son was diagnosed with a developmental disorder within the past year, so I am spending much of my time teaching him communication skills and such. I also like to knit whenever possible, and I am trying to take a shot at knitwear design.

I graduated from the College of Charleston in South Carolina with a BS in Psychology in 1997, and I am excited to be back in school. My husband and I moved here 6 years ago for his new job at Mayo Clinic. We really love Jacksonville, but miss Charleston desperately.

I have never really considered myself to be “computer savvy,” and I am confident that this class is going to aid me in this area. This is actually my first blog post ever, and I am already excited about that. I can’t wait to learn how to create a digital story, as I believe this skill will definitely be of great help in my future career. Plus I will learn how to tell stories about my little boy!! The grandparents are going to love it!!
